[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The National Assembly's Special Committee on Personnel Hearings has decided to discuss whether to adopt the personnel hearing progress report on Prime Minister nominee Kim Boo-kyum on the 10th.

Seo Byung-soo, chairman of the Special Committee on Personnel Hearings, stated before the conclusion of Kim's hearing at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 7th, "We will review the adoption of the progress report at 2 p.m. on the 10th," adding, "We will consult with the two secretaries beforehand."

The evaluations of Kim by the ruling and opposition parties are divided. The Democratic Party of Korea holds the position that there is no problem with Kim serving as Prime Minister, whereas the People Power Party opposes him, citing allegations of preferential treatment in funds and other issues.

In his closing remarks, Kim said, "I will faithfully listen to the voices of the people and reflect them in state affairs," and added, "I will strive for the successful conclusion of the Moon Jae-in administration."
