[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju City Welfare Foundation in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it delivered consolation gifts to elderly facilities and seniors aged 100 and over ahead of Parents' Day.


For 40 seniors aged 100 and over living at home, 'Hyo (孝) Packages' containing red ginseng wishing for their health were provided, and snacks such as bananas and soy milk were distributed to 51 elderly facilities.


In particular, Mayor Jo Gyu-il of Jinju City and Foundation Chairman Lee Seong-gap visited the home of a 106-year-old grandmother living in Hadae-dong on the morning of the 7th to wish for her health and visited Cham Joheun Dungji Nursing Home to encourage the staff.


Mayor Jo Gyu-il said, "I hope this brings some comfort to the elderly who are exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."



Meanwhile, the Jinju City Welfare Foundation has been providing various support for neighbors in need of warm care by offering consolation to social welfare facilities, organizations, and low-income groups during Lunar New Year, Chuseok holidays, and year-end seasons every year.
