[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 20s who indiscriminately assaulted a taxi driver in his 60s.
According to the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul on the 7th, Mr. A is accused of assaulting a taxi driver by forcing him to lie down on the road near Nangok Tunnel in Sillim-dong around 10 p.m. on the 5th.
The police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. A at the scene and applied for an arrest warrant on charges including injury on the 6th. The taxi driver is currently hospitalized.
The pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) for Mr. A is scheduled to be held at the Seoul Central District Court around 3 p.m. today.
