[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 7th that it will showcase the exhibition "World on a Wire," co-planned with Rhizome, the digital art institution of the New Museum, at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and on an online exhibition website.
This exhibition is part of the strategic partnership established between Hyundai Motor and New Museum Rhizome in January. A total of six teams, including Oh Ju-young, Theo Triantafyllidis, Tabor Robak, Rachel Rossin, Maria Federova, and ZZYW, are participating in the Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul exhibition.
By integrating technologies such as augmented reality (AR), digital animation, computer 3D, and game engines, Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul is transformed into a hybrid reality space. In particular, the works exhibited this time reexamine the relationship between human cognition, sensitivity, and the act of creation.
Zachary Kaplan, Director of New Museum Rhizome, said, "By conducting borderless exhibitions not only in Seoul but also online, we have high expectations for the new realms we can experience through the fusion of art and digital technology."
A Hyundai Motor official stated, "Through this exhibition, we aim to express the infinite possibilities of media art that combines art and digital technology, as well as the unique human imagination and sensitivity," adding, "Hyundai Motor will continue to support artists in carrying out challenging activities that combine art and technology across various platforms."
