Online Coding Education 'Elise' Selected for Ministry of Employment and Labor Digital Convergence Training Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Online coding education platform ELICE (CEO Kim Jae-won) announced on the 7th that it has been selected for the '2021 Digital Convergence Training Project' organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The Digital Convergence Training Project is an education program aimed at developing digital convergence technology capabilities of employees in small, medium, and large enterprises in core digital New Deal technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence. The government supports up to 95% of the training costs.
ELICE supports a total of 12 digital convergence training courses. The training is characterized by remote, non-face-to-face education without restrictions on time and space. Companies wishing to apply for the digital convergence training courses can inquire and apply through ELICE's official website and main phone number. Depending on the size of the company adopting the training course, priority support companies and small and medium enterprises can receive government support in the form of reimbursement covering 95% of the training costs, companies with fewer than 1,000 employees 90%, and companies with more than 1,000 employees 60%.
ELICE is a startup founded in 2015 by PhD candidates from the KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and has provided online coding education to over 100 major domestic companies such as SK and LG, as well as leading universities including KAIST and Seoul National University.
Kim Jae-won, CEO of ELICE, said, "Among the 10 companies approved by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in the 'Digital Convergence Training' education institution evaluation, we received the highest number of A grades with the top score." He added, "We will do our best to enhance employees' digital capabilities through ELICE's proven training courses such as data analysis and artificial intelligence."
