[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Kyowon Wells announced on the 6th that it will launch two products, the ‘Wells Ice Water Purifier UV+’ and the ‘Wells Water Purifier Super Cooling,’ ahead of the summer peak season.
The Wells Ice Water Purifier UV+ uses a stainless steel ice maker that vibrates finely 60 times per minute to provide harder and cleaner ice. It allows setting different ice sizes according to use. It can produce up to 500 ice cubes per day, ensuring ample supply even in summer.
In addition, hygiene has been further enhanced by applying ultraviolet (UV-C LED) sterilization not only to the water purifier spout but also to the ice storage room and ice outlet. An automatic sterilization function operates every two hours to block the growth of bacteria and viruses. Wells also explained that the 3-stage filter system allows users to enjoy cleaner water and ice.
Furthermore, user convenience has been improved with △3-stage hot water control △5 types of preset water dispensing functions △height-adjustable moving spout. When rented, external cleaning and filter replacement services are provided every three months.
The Wells Water Purifier Super Cooling features an 8-stage water temperature control function along with enhanced hygiene. It offers three levels of cold water: Basic (6~10°C), Mild Cooling (15°C), and Super Cooling (4°C), plus three levels of hot water for formula, tea, and coffee. Additionally, it includes a total of eight water temperature control modes, including a body temperature water mode that helps metabolism and blood circulation by mimicking body temperature.
In particular, hygiene functions have been strengthened with △UV spout sterilization operating every two hours △electrolyzed water flow sterilization that cleans the waterway automatically or manually △spout tip replacement service every 12 months.
A Wells official said, “Ahead of the summer peak season when demand for water purifiers increases, we have expanded our water purifier lineup to meet diverse customer needs and trends.”
Meanwhile, the rental fee for the Wells Ice Water Purifier is 48,900 KRW per month (6-year contract) and 59,900 KRW per month (3-year contract). The Wells Water Purifier Super Cooling offers four product options ranging from 28,900 KRW to 38,900 KRW per month, depending on the presence of waterway sterilization and hot water module.
