[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] NH Investment & Securities announced that it will hold a ‘QV Secret Class - Private Webinar’ on its official YouTube channel starting at 4 PM on the 6th, targeting customers holding Brazilian, Russian, and Mexican bonds as well as interested investors.
The lecture will be conducted by Shin Hwan-jong, head of the FICC Research Center at NH Investment & Securities, under the theme ‘2021 McLove Overseas Bond Investment Strategy.’ Center head Shin Hwan-jong is recognized as one of Korea’s top global investment strategists, having predicted the 2008 US subprime-triggered global financial crisis, the European debt crisis, and the intensification of US-China conflicts. Well-versed in financial crisis analysis, Shin accurately forecasted the plunge of Brazilian bonds after the summer of 2014 and the subsequent turnaround in early 2016.
Unlike other securities firms, NH Investment & Securities’ FICC Research Center downgraded its investment opinion on Brazilian bonds to ‘no longer attractive’ from the end of 2019, just before the COVID-19 outbreak, and has maintained this stance since. Subsequently, in 2020 and the first half of 2021, it accurately indicated the inflection point of Brazilian bond investments, including the renewed plunge in Brazilian bond prices and the sharp depreciation of the real. In this seminar, the outlook for Brazilian, Mexican, and Russian bonds as of early May 2021 will be presented by comprehensively analyzing domestic and international political and economic issues.
Anyone can apply to participate in the seminar, regardless of whether they are NH Investment & Securities customers. Applications can be made through announcements and event banners on the NH Investment & Securities QV MTS (Mobile Trading System). Only customers who apply will receive the YouTube live seminar URL 30 minutes before the start, and a real-time Q&A session will be held via comments after the live lecture. For more details, please contact QV MTS, any NH Investment & Securities branch nationwide, or the customer center.
