Kim Jong-un Watches Military Family Performance with Wife Ri Sol-ju on the 5th

Korean Central News Agency reported on the 6th, "Comrade Kim Jong-un watched a performance by military family art troupes from the large combined units of the Korean People's Army on May 5," and "Comrade Kim Jong-un appeared in the theater seats together with Mrs. Ri Sol-ju."

The performance that day was filled with poetry recitations, solo and chorus singing, dialogues, folktales and stories, true story plays, instrumental and vocal performances, and choruses, all centered on the lives of military families such as mothers and wives.

After watching the performance, General Secretary Kim praised, "The whole country must learn from the passionate patriotism, strong vitality, and high ideological and spiritual world of military families," and "It is a matter of pride that the People's Army is always exemplary in implementing the Party's mass cultural and artistic policies."

He also stated the tasks of guiding military families, saying, "All military families throughout the army must be prepared as steadfast female revolutionaries, always fulfilling their duties as eternal members of the revolution, true daughters of the Party, and reliable eldest daughters-in-law."

Attending the performance were Party and military officials including Jo Yong-won, Secretary of the Workers' Party, Ri Pyong-chol, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Military Commission, Jeong Sang-hak and Ri Il-hwan, Party Secretaries, O Il-jong, Head of the Party Military Guidance Department, Pak Jong-chon, Chief of the General Staff, Kwon Yong-jin, Director of the General Political Bureau, and Kim Jong-gwan, Minister of Defense.
