Last month, the estimated payment amount on Coupang reached 2.7 trillion KRW. The number of users increased to 22.16 million. Both the estimated payment amount and the number of users are the largest ever recorded. On the 6th, app analytics service WiseApp announced Coupang's estimated payment amount and app user numbers for April this year, revealing these figures.

WiseApp conducted a sample survey of payment amounts made by Korean consumers aged 20 and over using credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. As a result, Coupang's estimated payment amount for April was estimated to be 2.7 trillion KRW, marking a record high. The estimated payment amount includes payments made on Coupang's online shopping mall and the delivery service Coupang Eats. VAT is included, but corporate transactions are excluded, so this figure differs from Coupang's official sales revenue.

In April, 18.63 million people made payments on Coupang, with an average payment of 144,510 KRW per person. The repurchase rate in April was 78%, the highest among major domestic online shopping malls. Additionally, Coupang's estimated payment amount for the first quarter was 7.7 trillion KRW, representing a 54% increase compared to 5 trillion KRW in the first quarter of last year and an 18% increase compared to 6.5 trillion KRW in the fourth quarter.

Coupang's app users also reached an all-time high. WiseApp surveyed Android and iPhone (iOS) smartphone users aged 10 and over in Korea, finding that Coupang had 22.16 million users in April, Coupang Eats had 4.22 million users, and Coupang Play had 1.06 million users, with all three apps recording their highest user numbers ever.
