[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Kim Ki-hyun, Acting Leader of the People Power Party and Floor Leader, met with Yoon Ho-jung, Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and urged 'cooperation.' In response, Floor Leader Yoon congratulated Acting Leader Kim on his election and said, "I feel a desire to try artistic politics with him."

On the afternoon of the 4th, Acting Leader Kim met with Floor Leader Yoon at the National Assembly and said, "Whether ruling or opposition party, I think we are not trams facing each other but the two wheels of a tram moving in the same direction," adding, "Building a cooperative relationship is the basic principle of National Assembly operation."

Floor Leader Yoon also emphasized harmony between the ruling and opposition parties. He explained, "The ruling and opposition parties may have different opinions and pursue different values or philosophies," and "The political realm and the realm of creative art lie in how to harmonize these differences well and find ways to realize each other's values." He then emphasized, "I feel a desire to try artistic politics with Acting Leader Kim."

On that day, the two pointed out major issues such as vaccines and compensation for small business losses and sought cooperation. Floor Leader Yoon said, "Regarding vaccines supply and inoculation, as well as issues supporting people's livelihoods and even raising our economy in difficulty, these are matters that require bipartisan cooperation regardless of party lines," and urged, "The more difficult the situation, the more the two parties should shine and achieve greater things."

Following this, Acting Leader Kim said, "There are many tasks left regarding how we should handle issues such as vaccines, compensation for small business losses, and international hegemony relations," and added, "More than ever, I hope that our 21st National Assembly will build a relationship of coexistence and cooperation so that the ruling and opposition parties can work together and move toward the goal of people's happiness."
