Korea Non-Life Insurance Association Supports Medical Expenses for Low-Income Groups with Seoul St. Mary's Hospital

The General Insurance Association signed a business agreement with Seoul St. Mary's Hospital of the Catholic University on the 4th to provide medical expense support for low-income groups struggling due to COVID-19.

As part of the social contribution projects of the general insurance industry, utilizing the Sae Hope Healing Fund, medical expenses will be supported up to 5 million KRW per person, totaling 100 million KRW, for low-income patients facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.

The support recipients will be selected through the hospital's charity patient review committee after receiving applications from patients undergoing treatment at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital.

Jung Ji-won, Chairman of the General Insurance Association, said, "As income polarization deepens due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we hope this support project will help low-income patients suffering economic hardship regain vitality in their lives. We also hope that these revitalizations will collectively become the driving force for the entire nation to overcome the COVID-19 crisis together, and the general insurance industry will actively take the lead in fulfilling corporate social responsibility."
