The 17th Geumcheon-gu Mayor's Cup Non-Face-to-Face Health Running Competition Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the "17th Geumcheon-gu Mayor's Cup Non-face-to-face Health Running Competition" from May 9 to 16, with 300 participants including track and field enthusiasts and general residents.

This year's 17th competition will be held as a "non-face-to-face race" from registration to the final race to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The race will start from Anyangcheon Multipurpose Plaza, pass Cheolsan Bridge, and proceed to Guro Station along 5 km and 10 km courses.

Participants can download the smartphone app designated by the Athletics Federation, select their preferred course at their desired date and time during the competition period, run, and verify their record.

This competition is open to anyone without regional restrictions, including track and field enthusiasts and Geumcheon-gu residents. Those who wish to participate can apply by May 8 on the "Geumcheon-gu Athletics Federation Internet Cafe."

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "Although we cannot see the usual scene of everyone running together due to COVID-19, I hope residents regain some vitality in their daily lives exhausted by COVID-19 through this competition."

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Geumcheon-gu Office Culture and Sports Division or the Geumcheon-gu Athletics Federation.
