Service Equipped Reflecting Golfer Consumer Behavior Through Big Data Analysis
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 30th that it will launch the golf-specialized card 'Shinhan Card Rave.'
This reflects the trend of golf becoming increasingly popular, especially among the MZ generation. 'Rave' is a golf term meaning 'Lifetime Best Score,' referring to the moment a golfer records their personal best score. Shinhan Card Rave symbolizes sharing the golfer's best moments.
This card features services that reduce the financial burden related to golf expenses and provide benefits based on big data analysis of golfers' movement patterns and consumption behaviors.
First, cardholders can choose one of three gift options annually. When spending over 100,000 KRW at domestic golf courses or driving ranges, they receive a 50,000 KRW discount (up to 3 times per year). Alternatively, they can select a Golfzon mobile golf culture gift certificate worth 170,000 KRW (once per year) or a Bushnell golf rangefinder voucher worth 200,000 KRW (once per year).
The card also offers mileage accumulation benefits with Korean Air. For domestic golf courses and overseas spending, 3 miles are earned per 1,500 KRW spent. For dining and all gas stations, 2 miles per 1,500 KRW are accumulated. For all other merchants, 1 mile per 1,500 KRW spent is provided.
Additionally, cardholders receive a 10% discount when taking golf lessons at Golfzon GDR Academy or purchasing golf equipment from the online mall 'Golfing.' Discounts apply to transactions over 30,000 KRW each, with a combined monthly discount limit of 20,000 KRW.
Other benefits include four complimentary coffees up to three times a year at over 50 partner golf courses nationwide for the cardholder and their companions. Reflecting the lifestyle of the MZ generation, a 10% discount up to 5,000 KRW per month is available on food delivery apps such as Coupang Eats and Baedal Minjok.
For those who receive the Mastercard brand, additional services include a 10% discount when paying via the 'Mosireo' app, a golf course chauffeur service, discounts on JTBC Golf paid memberships, green fee discounts at famous golf courses in Jeju Island, and Mastercard World tier benefits including special privileges at TPC golf courses in the United States.
The annual fee for Shinhan Card Rave is 197,000 KRW for domestic use only and 200,000 KRW for overseas use (Mastercard). Applications will be available starting from the 7th of next month.
