[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On Friday the 30th, rain will fall in various parts of the country.
Due to the influence of a low-pressure trough over the West Sea, rain that began in the western regions on the night of the 29th will expand nationwide by dawn and mostly stop by the morning, but in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, and northern Chungbuk, it will continue in some places until the afternoon.
Expected precipitation amounts are 10?40 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk; 5?20 mm in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; and 5?10 mm in Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, the West Sea 5 Islands, and Jeju Island.
There will be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas. However, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts that the rain will fall for a short time in any one location due to the fast movement of clouds. Yellow dust may also mix with the rain in some places.
Hail is expected in southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, northern Jeonbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk. Caution is advised as facilities such as vinyl greenhouses or weak structures may be damaged, and crops could be affected.
The nationwide morning low temperatures will range from 9 to 14 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius, showing a distribution similar to Thursday (morning 6.7?14.9°C, daytime 15.6?24.7°C). However, the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon and the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk will be chilly with morning temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius.
Fine dust levels will be at a 'normal' level across all regions.
