[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Shin Woo-cheol) announced on the 29th that it will recruit participants for the "Wando County Youth Culture Planner Training" from May 3 to May 21, and conduct the training from June to September to establish a foundation for revitalizing youth culture.
Applicants are young people in their 20s to 30s (born between 1983 and 2002) who reside in Wando County and aspire to become cultural planners. The recruitment is limited to 12 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The training is free of charge, but a refundable participation fee of 100,000 KRW must be paid in advance and will be fully refunded upon completion of at least 80% of the training.
The "Youth Culture Planner Training" aims to establish a foundation for revitalizing youth culture by enabling local youth to lead youth culture from the perspective of planners and to directly propose and implement content through the training.
The training course consists of four stages: preparation, planning, marketing, and practice, including cultural content planning linked to local culture, cultural planning project practice, field visits and workshops, and special lectures.
In particular, special lectures by local cultural stakeholders and cultural planners active in the region will provide a stepping stone for participants to enter the local community and engage in cultural planning activities.
Additionally, among the proposals directly suggested after the 16-week training course, outstanding plans will be reflected in the 2022 budget to provide opportunities to realize the plans.
A county official stated, "We hope this training will nurture young experts who can propose and operate various cultural contents that can revitalize youth culture in Wando, serving as a driving force that leads to actual employment and entrepreneurship."
Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form posted on the Wando County website's public notice section and submitting it by mail, online, or in person.
