[Concall] Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering "Thick Plate Prices Raised Over 10%, Expected to Rise Further in H2"

On the 29th, Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering stated in a conference call, "Prices have increased by more than 10% from the levels in the fourth quarter of last year, and we expect further increases in the second half of the year," adding, "Considering these factors, we are continuing to secure orders through price negotiations."

They continued, "The order backlog exceeds 2.5 years, leading to a tense tug-of-war over prices with shipowners," and added, "When the order backlog exceeds 2.5 years, the balance tends to favor the shipyards in price negotiations, so we believe that sufficient cost reflection will be possible."
