Recently, in the towns and townships of Gochang, the urban environment has been damaged and street trees have suffered due to unauthorized postings by external advertising companies of illegal advertisements, solar power sales, car installment plans, and more.
Accordingly, the county will conduct a special crackdown on ▲‘fixed advertisements’ such as illegal wall-mounted signs, protruding signs, and pole-mounted signs ▲‘illegal banners’ hung in places other than designated posting boards ▲‘mobile advertisements’ such as illegal standing signs, air lights, and flyers that threaten pedestrian passage and safety.
In particular, for newly installed illegal outdoor advertisements, fines (220,000 KRW per piece) and suspension of outdoor advertising business licenses will be imposed not only on advertisers but also on manufacturers.
A Gochang-gun official said, “For the safety of local residents, we hope that advertisers and related companies will install advertisements legally and use designated posting boards without fail,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create a beautiful urban landscape and a pleasant living environment.”
