Jangseong-gun Hwangryong-myeon Chief Tests Positive for COVID-19... Administrative Welfare Center Closed Until the 30th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The head of Hwangryong-myeon in Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the temporary closure of the Hwangryong-myeon Administrative Welfare Center.

According to Jeollanam-do and Jangseong-gun on the 29th, the head of Hwangryong-myeon, Mr. A, tested positive for COVID-19 in the morning and was classified as Jeonnam case number 1049 (Jangseong case number 46). The route of infection is under investigation.

Mr. A reportedly underwent testing after showing symptoms such as chills. Upon receiving notification of Mr. A's positive result from the private testing agency, Jangseong-gun closed the Hwangryong-myeon Administrative Welfare Center until the 30th and conducted disinfection and sterilization.

COVID-19 diagnostic tests were conducted on all 20 employees of the Administrative Welfare Center, and even if the results were negative, they were placed under self-quarantine for two weeks.

Additionally, this information was sent to all residents via disaster alert text messages.

Currently, headquarters staff have been assigned to the Hwangryong-myeon Administrative Welfare Center to inform about the temporary closure and handle urgent tasks.

Along with this, a temporary screening clinic has been set up at the center to allow residents to receive free COVID-19 testing.

The county plans to form a work team from headquarters staff and dispatch them to Hwangryong-myeon from the 3rd to the 12th of next month to support urgent civil affairs processing and resident guidance.
