[Concall] Naver Han Seong-suk: "We Will Create the World's Largest Global Creative Ecosystem with Wattpad"

[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Han Seong-suk, CEO of Naver, announced during the conference call following the Q1 earnings report on the 29th that the acquisition process of the web novel platform 'Wattpad' will be completed in May.

CEO Han stated, "Starting in May, we will begin exchanging user traffic with Wattpad and simultaneously release impactful original content to maximize effectiveness." Naver plans to expand its secondary creation business and create synergy through about 90 video projects currently underway on Wattpad, in addition to webtoons and web novels.

CEO Han added, "We will create the world's largest global creative ecosystem where revenue generated from global users is distributed to creators and can grow."
