Supporting Over 6,600 Low-Income Female Adolescents with Pink Boxes Since 2016

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] CJ Olive Young announced on the 29th that it delivered 1,000 'Pink Boxes' to the Seoul Metropolitan Teenage Women's Health Center 'Naneunbom' on the 28th to support low-income female adolescents.

Since 2016, when the so-called 'Kkalchang sanitary pad' issue emerged as a social problem, Olive Young has been running a campaign to provide Pink Boxes containing handmade cotton sanitary pads and various hygiene products made by employees free of charge to low-income female adolescents. This year, to allow interested customers to participate as well, Olive Young launched a 'DIY Cotton Sanitary Pad Sharing Campaign' at major large stores at the end of March, encouraging the production of cotton sanitary pads and adding more meaning and empathy to the sharing initiative.

The Pink Boxes include various gifts prepared by Olive Young, such as cotton sanitary pads handmade by customers and employees, disposable sanitary pads, heating pads, and basic cosmetics. These will be delivered to adolescents in need through 'Naneunbom.'

Including the 1,000 boxes donated this time, Olive Young has supported a total of 6,600 Pink Boxes since 2016. This is the result of continuous social contribution activities linked to its business.

An Olive Young representative said, "It is meaningful that the cotton sanitary pad sharing activity, which had been conducted as an employee volunteer activity, can be carried out together with customers for the first time this year," adding, "We will continue to plan more meaningful social contribution activities and take the lead in spreading the value of sharing."

Meanwhile, under the core value of 'Healthy Beauty,' Olive Young continues various social contribution activities, including a girls' education campaign in partnership with UNESCO to provide educational opportunities to girls in developing countries.
