[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] DK Lock announced on the 29th that it has obtained the qualification to supply products to the display manufacturing line after receiving approval from Samsung Display.
DK Lock stated, "The approval to supply Samsung Display is the first for a purely domestic company to provide ultra-high purity gas and chemical line fitting valves for Samsung Semiconductor and Display, which were previously dominated by foreign companies," adding, "It is particularly meaningful that we have obtained qualification to supply all product categories."
They received comprehensive approval not only for fittings used in semiconductor and display manufacturing but also for ultra-high purity large bellows valves, special Hastelloy diaphragm valves applied in the special gas field, and pneumatic valves.
The company explained that with the increase in sales of TVs, laptops, and tablets due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for panels installed in these products and the increase in production volume in the upstream market are expected to expand the supply of products for displays.
Meanwhile, besides this Samsung Display supply approval, DK Lock has already been supplying semiconductor gas UHP fittings and valves, essential products for semiconductor production, after receiving approval from SK Hynix. They also supply products to equipment manufacturers such as Wonik IPS and Hanyang ENG, which produce semiconductor display equipment. Additionally, through overseas distributors, they supply products to multinational companies in the semiconductor display device industry, such as Lam Research. Going forward, they plan to actively expand supply not only to major domestic companies but also to the United States, Europe, and Asia regions.
