[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] KT announced on the 29th that its cloud-based artificial intelligence contact center (AICC) service has obtained the SaaS standard-grade Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) certification.
With this, KT has become the only provider capable of offering voicebot and chatbot services applying AI technologies such as speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language processing, and text analysis to public institutions on a cloud-based platform. Going forward, KT plans to provide cloud-based AI services tailored to the demands of various public institutions, including COVID-19 self-diagnosis voicebots and civil complaint guidance chatbots.
CSAP is a system established by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency to objectively verify the safety and reliability of private clouds provided to public institutions, alleviating users' security concerns and securing competitiveness in cloud services. Obtaining CSAP certification is mandatory to supply cloud services to public institutions.
Choi Jun-gi, Executive Director of KT AI/Big Data Business Division, stated, “Security concerns, which have been obstacles to the adoption of cloud-based AICC services by public institutions, have been resolved with the acquisition of this CSAP certification,” and added, “We will focus on expanding our business so that many public institutions can improve their operations by utilizing KT’s AI voicebots and chatbots.”
