Lotte Food Launches 3 New Products of Meal Management Lunchbox 'Shefood Seven Days Plan'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Food announced on the 29th that it will launch three types of meal management lunchboxes under the ‘Chefood Seven Days Plan’ brand. The new products will be introduced through a crowdfunding campaign starting on the 30th on the ‘Wadiz’ site.

The ‘Chefood Seven Days Plan’ is Lotte Food’s integrated meal management brand launched in May last year. It is characterized by using a variety of ingredients while keeping each meal around 330 kcal, catering to customers who want to maintain a light diet without sacrificing taste. After releasing four products in May last year, three new products have been added this time, completing a total lineup of seven.

The three new Seven Days Plan products will be unveiled through crowdfunding. Consumers who want the products to be released can participate in the funding, and if the investment amount exceeds a certain threshold, the release is confirmed. This crowdfunding will be conducted through the ‘Wadiz’ platform from April 30 to May 27. Consumers participating in the funding can enjoy up to a 42% discount compared to the regular price. The products will be produced immediately after the funding ends and shipped to customers.

The products to be released are ▲Five Vegetable Bibimbap ▲Tofu Gangdoenjang Rice Bowl ▲Chicken Breast Tomato Platter. These meals focus on the basics of Korean cuisine centered on various vegetables and fermented sauces to deliver a delicious meal. The rice is a mixed grain rice made with lentils and chickpeas, designed by a researcher qualified as a rice sommelier. It is cooked using a direct-fire pot method, providing a chewy and flavorful rice texture.

Calories and dietary fiber were also carefully considered. Although the products allow you to eat rice and side dishes together, the calorie content is similar to a regular bowl of rice. While a 200g bowl of mixed grain rice contains 292 kcal, the 244g Tofu Gangdoenjang Rice Bowl from the Seven Days Plan contains about 330 kcal. Additionally, each pack contains 7,637 mg to 12,300 mg of dietary fiber, fulfilling 38% to 51% of the recommended daily intake of dietary fiber for women.

A Lotte Food official said, “Chefood Seven Days Plan is a brand that offers a lineup of products for meal management,” adding, “We plan to introduce various products in the future for consumers who want to maintain their diet consistently, enjoyably, and without getting bored.”
