[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Choyoung] Japanese septuagenarian tycoon, known as a 'Don Juan' for publishing a book about his numerous romantic affairs, has died suddenly, and his wife in her 20s was urgently arrested three years later, Japanese media including Kyodo News reported.

According to the reports, the Wakayama Prefectural Police Headquarters arrested his wife, Sudo Saki (25), on charges of murdering businessman Nozaki Gosuke (77) (murder and violation of the Stimulant Control Act) today.

Sudo is suspected of administering a lethal dose of stimulants to her husband Nozaki Gosuke at their home in Wakayama Prefecture in May 2018, resulting in his death. An autopsy revealed that lethal amounts of stimulant substances were detected in the victim's blood and stomach contents, confirming acute stimulant poisoning as the cause of death.

Police investigations found that only Sudo was present at the house when Nozaki died, and it was also confirmed that Sudo had searched for information about stimulants on the internet prior to the incident.

Sudo is believed to have purchased the stimulants used to kill her husband through a trafficker she met on social networking services (SNS).

Nozaki, during his lifetime, called himself the 'Don Juan of Kishu' and even wrote a book about his romantic exploits. Kishu refers to the southern regions of Wakayama and Mie Prefectures in Japan, and Don Juan is a 17th-century Spanish legendary womanizer. In his 2016 autobiography, he stated that the reason he earned money was 'to meet beautiful women,' claiming to have spent 30 billion yen on 4,000 women.

In his 2018 autobiography, he introduced his first meeting with his wife Sudo. Nozaki wrote, "One autumn a year ago, I fell at Haneda Airport, and it was through the help of Sudo, who was 21 at the time, that we got to know each other," adding, "I proposed, asking her to be my last woman."

Nozaki and Sudo held their wedding ceremony in February 2018, just months after their first meeting, but Nozaki was found dead only three months after their marriage in May 2018.
