[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Actor couple Jang Dong-gun and Go So-young have become the celebrity couple residing in the most expensive apartment nationwide. They live in the Gangnam-gu 'The Penthouse Cheongdam' apartment, which was sold last year, and their property tax alone amounts to a staggering 400 million KRW.

According to the '2021 Officially Announced Prices for Apartment Complexes' confirmed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 28th, The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH 129) apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was listed as the most expensive apartment complex with an official price of 16.32 billion KRW (exclusive area 407㎡).

'The Penthouse Cheongdam' consists of a total of 29 households with a duplex structure. Besides the couple Jang Dong-gun and Go So-young, the apartment is also home to golf legend Park In-bee, MegaStudy’s top instructor Hyun Woo-jin, and former Aekyung Development CEO Chae Seung-seok.

The couple purchased a duplex unit of 83 pyeong (211.94㎡·62.02㎡) in The Penthouse Cheongdam in April 2017. Each unit has a private elevator ensuring complete privacy, and up to five parking spaces are available per household.

After moving in, Go So-young revealed the interior of the apartment on social media. The luxurious interior decorated with white marble and the unobstructed view of the Han River caught attention.
