[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Roh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, participated in the '119 Relay Challenge' on the 27th.

On the same day, Mayor Roh emphasized the necessity of installing residential fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors in his office at the district office, stressing that fire safety equipment should be installed in every home and vehicle to prevent fires.

Started last year on Firefighting Day, this challenge is a relay campaign to raise awareness of the importance of installing fire safety facilities under the slogan "Small fires require preparation, big fires require evacuation first."

Mayor Roh Hyun-song said, "In case of a fire at home, one fire extinguisher has an effect similar to one fire truck in initial suppression," and added, "I urge all residents to make sure to equip fire extinguishers in all places where they live to prepare for fires."

Having been nominated by Lee Sung, Mayor of Guro-gu, Mayor Roh Hyun-song nominated Lee Ui-geol, Chairman of the Gangseo District Council, and Kim Han-geun, Mayor of Gangneung City, as the next participants to continue the challenge.
