Signing Agreements with 15 Companies Following Government Public Contest Selection
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) is investing about 400 million KRW this year to support technology development, marketing, and patent applications to establish a continuous and stable revenue base for social economy enterprises in the district.
According to Nam-gu on the 26th, the '2021 Social Economy Enterprise Business Development Fund Support Project Agreement Ceremony' was held on the same day.
This agreement ceremony was held following the selection of 15 social economy enterprises in Nam-gu in the first half of this year through the 'Social Economy Enterprise Business Development Fund Support Project' contest hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The ceremony was attended by District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae, representatives of the enterprises receiving the business development fund support, and working-level staff.
Nam-gu secured 409 million KRW in project funds through this year's contest, an increase of 155 million KRW from 254 million KRW last year, and plans to support 15 enterprises, including 7 certified social enterprises and 8 preliminary social enterprises, in areas such as brand and technology development, promotion and marketing, patent application costs, and prototype production support.
Among the supported social economy enterprises, many are preparing for technology development and marketing based on specialized business items.
For example, Dalseyo Co., Ltd. is producing a CD booklet to introduce cultural and artistic figures from Gwangju and Jeonnam, and Osaekbit Cooperative and Moduplay Co., Ltd. plan to utilize the COVID-19 non-face-to-face era to develop educational kit prototypes and build an ontact education management CMS and shopping mall, respectively.
Additionally, Malgeunbyeol Growth Research Institute Co., Ltd. is preparing a counseling and education service provision system targeting vulnerable groups using workbooks, while Onmom Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Modal Co., Ltd. are respectively promoting projects to develop home exercise program videos and 360-degree virtual reality content.
District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae said, “The business development fund support project will be a great help in alleviating the management difficulties of social economy enterprises in the district,” and added, “We will actively support social economy enterprises that realize the value of ‘coexistence’ through employment of vulnerable groups and provision of social services to become a pillar of the local economy.”
