[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hana Card announced on the 26th that it has signed a strategic business agreement for digital business cooperation with LG Uplus.

Through this business agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop and market differentiated digital-based products by partnering the financial products of Hana Financial Group affiliates, including Hana Card, Hana Bank, and Hana Financial Investment, with LG Uplus's official online mall U+Shop. Notably, this partnership introduces Korea's first PLFP (Private Label Financial Package) concept, which goes beyond the conventional Private Label Credit Card (PLCC) by expanding financial service collaborations between the two companies to develop and provide various services.

Under the agreement signed on the 23rd, Hana Card and LG Uplus will launch the U+Shop exclusive partnership card "U+Family Hana Card" (tentative name, scheduled for release on May 3) and add new Hana Money partner stores to the U+Shop exclusive partnership pack, thereby expanding partnership benefits and increasing customers' choice of partner stores.

Additionally, within the first half of the year, they plan to release a dedicated savings product in collaboration with Hana Bank and launch services linking Hana Financial Investment's stock and fund products with telecommunications.

Kim Sung-joo, Head of Digital Global Group at Hana Card (Executive Director), stated, "We are actively collaborating with other business sectors to lead the digital market. Through this MOU, we will prepare digital products focused on customer-centric services that provide maximum benefits to our customers."
