[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Naava Korea held a "Making a Plant Friend Splash Splash Swimming Pool" companion plant class for children at the Olympic I-Park Public Daycare Center, KB Yeouido Daycare Center, and Hey Schools English Kindergarten on the 22nd in celebration of Earth Day.

The companion plant class was conducted at the children's eye level, teaching hydroponic cultivation using Naava's smart green wall air-purifying plants and disposable plastic cups that are easily used and discarded. Through hands-on experience with various materials such as living air-purifying plants, hydrosoil, shells, and pebbles, the class stimulated the children's five senses and provided an opportunity to connect with nature and develop a mindset to protect our Earth by recycling living plants and discarded cups.

Due to fine dust in spring and the impact of COVID-19, children are spending more time indoors. In response, the Olympic I-Park Public Daycare Center, Hey Schools, and KB Yeouido Daycare Center introduced the smart green wall Naava to create a safe environment for children within the facilities. Through the smart green wall Naava, children breathe naturally purified air and gain emotional stability by interacting with nature.

The smart green wall Naava is a system combining plants and AI technology that can increase the air purification efficiency of soil plants by up to 190 times. Instead of using soil commonly found in flowerpots, it applies a biofilter that anchors plants in a specially developed 'inorganic growth medium,' providing a hygienic and maximized plant air purification ability to offer children a comfortable space.

Naava Korea produced this companion plant class as an online educational video and made it available through official channels so that more children can easily follow along in the untact era. The online educational video is accessible to anyone via Naava Korea's YouTube channel and Naver TV.

Lee Namgyu, CEO of Naava Korea, said, "It was meaningful to provide children with an opportunity to build intimacy with plants by holding the companion plant class on Earth Day," adding, "It will also help foster interest in environmental protection. We will continue to expand opportunities to provide educational content that helps people realize the value of nature."
