On the 23rd, at Gaya Golf Course in Gimhae, Gyeongnam (par 72, 6,813 yards), during the second day of the 2021 KLPGA Tour 2nd event, Nexen Saint Nine Masters (total prize money 800 million KRW), despite the harsh conditions with strong winds, she added 2 under par to maintain her position at the top of the leaderboard (8 under par, 136 strokes). Three players?Jang Su-yeon (27, Dongbu Construction), Park Min-ji (23, NH Investment & Securities), and rookie Jeong Se-bin (20, Samchully)?are in a chase battle tied for 2nd place (6 under par, 138 strokes).
Jang Hana started with a one-stroke lead and recorded 4 birdies and 2 bogeys. After a birdie on the first hole she played, the 10th hole (par 5), she faltered with consecutive bogeys on the 18th and 1st holes, but then made consecutive birdies on the 2nd and 3rd holes, followed by another birdie on the 6th hole (par 3). Leading by two strokes, she seized the opportunity for her 14th career win, her first in five months since the SK Networks Seoul Economic Ladies Classic last November. She smiled, saying, "The wind made me lose focus completely," and added, "Thanks to not being impatient, I finished well."
Jang Su-yeon showcased flawless play with five birdies. Lee Da-yeon (24, Mediheal) is in 5th place (5 under par, 139 strokes), ‘Lotte Rent-a-Car Champ’ Lee So-mi (22, SBI Savings Bank) is tied for 10th (3 under par, 141 strokes), and ‘Number 1’ Choi Hye-jin (22, Lotte), 2019 champion Lee Seung-yeon (23, SK Networks), Park Hyun-kyung (21, Korea Land & Trust), and Lee Ga-young (22, NH Investment & Securities) are tied for 14th place (2 under par, 142 strokes). Cho Ah-yeon (21) and Ji Han-sol (25, both Dongbu Construction) are tied for 22nd place (1 under par, 143 strokes).
