Honam University Department of Future Automotive Engineering Conducts High-Voltage Safety Training for Electric Vehicles

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Department of Future Automotive Engineering at Honam University announced on the 23rd that it conducted high-voltage safety training for electric vehicles for enrolled students and industry workers in the automotive field at the on-campus Imagination Workshop from the 19th to the 22nd.

To quickly respond to the electric vehicle era that will lead the next-generation automobile market, the Department of Future Automotive Engineering invited CEO Huijung Lee of EVALL to explain the battery principles applied to electric vehicles and the outlook of the electric vehicle market, along with conducting high-voltage safety training.

In particular, although the introduction of electric vehicles is progressing rapidly, the reality of responding to the dangers of electric vehicles using high voltages of 800 volts or more is far behind. This training brought significant changes in raising safety awareness among the participants.

Student Jang Yoo-jung (3rd year) said, “I was thinking about getting a job in the electric vehicle field after graduation, and I learned that high voltage is applied to electric vehicles, so I thought I should strictly follow the safety measures taught today when handling electric vehicles in the future.”

CEO An Byung-man of an automobile maintenance company located in Hwasun said, “Although I usually handle internal combustion engine vehicles, through this training I heard about the development potential of the electric vehicle field and will prepare to study for electric vehicle maintenance,” sharing his impressions of the course.
