Online Event Held to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 99th "Overcoming COVID-19! Love the Environment! Happy Children's Day!" family festival event online in 2021.
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), this year's Children's Day event, hosted by the Jinju Women's Association, will be conducted online. It has prepared programs in three areas: an online playground, participation activities, and sharing celebrations that children and families can enjoy together. Online registration began on the 19th.
The online playground is a unique event where the mayor of Jinju and the president of the Jinju Women's Association deliver congratulatory videos at each session, along with performances of children's songs and rhythmic dances.
The UCC (Love for Children, Love for the Environment) and acrostic poem contests for children are accepting pre-registrations until May 2. Safety and experience tools and package kits will be distributed first to elementary school children with disabilities within the city, and then to 1,000 general children on a first-come, first-served basis. The domestic wheat experience kits will be distributed to daycare centers dedicated to children with disabilities.
On Children's Day, the "online playground" using Zoom will be broadcast five times at one-hour intervals starting from 10 a.m. On the same day, winners of the UCC and acrostic poem contests will be announced, and city products and prizes will be provided.
This event is the first attempt at a non-face-to-face Children's Day event in Jinju and is expected to deliver warm comfort and happiness to children and families who have been exhausted by COVID-19 for a long time.
