[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk announced on the 23rd that it held a boundary determination committee meeting on the 22nd regarding the boundary setting of the 2020 project district.
The Jeongeup City Boundary Determination Committee is composed of 11 experts in related fields, including Chairman Goseokbeom (Judge of Jeongeup Branch, Jeonju District Court).
At this committee meeting, the city completed the related review and determined the boundaries for 2,259 parcels totaling 816,405㎡ in Sangdong 1 and Sisan 1 districts.
The results of the Boundary Determination Committee will be notified to landowners and stakeholders, and landowners who have objections to the boundary decision may file an objection within 60 days from the date of receiving the notification.
If no objection is filed within the period, the boundaries will be finalized, adjustment payments settled, and new cadastral records created to complete the project.
The Sangdong 1 and Sisan 1 districts, whose boundaries were determined at this committee, are areas with many cadastral discrepancies, boundary disputes, and land-related complaints.
Last year, the city secured 481 million KRW in national funds, selected the area as a project district, and actively conducted field administration to resolve residents' inconveniences.
A city official stated, “Through this project, it is expected to reduce surveying costs for resolving land disputes and confirming boundaries for citizens, and it will greatly help in advancing the cadastral system and securing the credibility of cadastral records.”
He added, “We also ask for much interest and cooperation regarding the cadastral re-survey project planned for future implementation.”
