[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Incheon International Airport Corporation expressed deep regret over the court's ruling to resume the supply of electricity and reclaimed water to Sky72 Golf Course.
On the 23rd, Incheon International Airport Corporation stated, "We had no choice but to sequentially suspend the supply of reclaimed water and electricity to promptly correct the unauthorized occupation of public property by the business operator whose contract period had expired. However, the court yesterday granted Sky72's injunction request."
Incheon Airport Corporation asserted, "Sky72 has not fulfilled the agreement to transfer the facilities free of charge upon contract expiration, and we have not been able to collect land lease fees for the land on which the airport corporation pays property taxes," adding, "The unreasonable situation where Sky72 is gaining enormous private benefits should be rectified promptly."
They continued, "We express deep regret over the court's injunction decision and plan to immediately file an objection and appeal," emphasizing, "We once again urge a wise judgment to protect the nation's property."
Previously, Incheon Airport Corporation had suspended the supply of reclaimed water from the 1st and electricity from the 18th due to Sky72's unauthorized occupation of public land after the lease period ended.
In response, the court granted the injunction request filed by Sky72 Golf Course against Incheon Airport Corporation to prohibit the disconnection of water and electricity supply.
