Professor Shin Sunhye's Team at Honam University Selected for Joint Curriculum Development Project on AP System

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University announced on the 23rd that Professor Shin Sun-hye's team from the Department of Liberal Arts has been selected for the AP System (Advanced Placement System) joint curriculum development project supported by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Innovation Platform University Education Innovation Headquarters.

The AP System joint curriculum development project is designed to develop and operate a high school-university linked education program, aiming to increase the enrollment rate of outstanding high school students in local universities by allowing them to experience university lectures in advance.

Professor Shin stated, "We are developing a course for 2nd-year high school students under the theme 'Korean History in Historical Content,' and we aim to overcome the limitations of textbook-centered history education by utilizing effective teaching methods tailored for learners familiar with new platforms such as videos."

The course developed by Professor Shin's team will complete content development this year and will be offered as an online lecture to high school students in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region in the second year.

In particular, by sharing Honam University's expertise in content utilization and production, excellent educational materials, and teaching methods, it is expected to promote mutual growth with the local community and encourage outstanding local talents to enroll at Honam University.
