Jungjingong-Korea Tourism Organization Join Hands to Support Vacation for Workers Enrolled in Naeil Chaeum Deduction Program

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization to support employee vacation expenses for workers enrolled in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program. This vacation expense support agreement is expected to motivate long-term employment among workers enrolled in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program and revitalize the local economy.

The Employee Vacation Support Project is designed to promote a free vacation culture by having employees and companies each contribute 200,000 KRW and 100,000 KRW respectively to travel savings, with the Tourism Organization adding an additional 100,000 KRW. SBC plans to support the company’s share of 100,000 KRW per person for a total of 4,000 workers enrolled in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program, thereby reducing the burden on companies. The funding for this will be sourced from the profits generated through the management of the Naeilchaeum Deduction fund.

Through this, workers enrolled in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program will be able to accumulate a total of 400,000 KRW in travel savings by paying only 200,000 KRW. The savings can be used to purchase domestic travel-related products through the 'Vacation# Online Mall.' SBC plans to start support once the COVID-19 situation stabilizes. Applications can be made by companies through the Naeilchaeum Deduction website. Excellent companies participating in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program will be given preferential treatment, and detailed information about the vacation support project can be found in the announcements section of the website.

Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "As a result of surveying welfare services preferred by workers enrolled in the Naeilchaeum Deduction program, the travel sector ranked highest for two consecutive years, which led us to join forces with the Korea Tourism Organization." He added, "SBC will take the lead in realizing the social value of improving welfare for small and medium enterprise workers and promoting win-win cooperation."
