Murabel Water 'Isis ECO'... Lotte Awards Grand Prize Winner The Water Support Team of Lotte Chilsung Beverage, which launched the eco-friendly bottled water Isis ECO, won the grand prize at the first 'Lotte Awards'.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte announced on the 23rd that the Water Support Team of Lotte Chilsung Beverage, which launched the eco-friendly bottled water Isis ECO, won the first Grand Prize at the 'Lotte Awards.'


Lotte created the Lotte Awards by integrating individual award ceremonies that were previously held by job functions such as sales and marketing. This award is given to cases that have contributed to enhancing Lotte's brand competitiveness by producing outstanding business performance.


At the beginning of last year, Lotte Chilsung Beverage led the eco-friendly packaging culture by releasing Isis ECO, the first domestic bottled water product without a label on the PET bottle body. It was recognized for its packaging material reduction effect as well as contributing to changes in consumer awareness of the environment and improving corporate image. Isis ECO also won multiple awards at eco-friendly packaging contests hosted by government agencies such as the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.


The Excellence Award was given to teams from three companies: Lotte Chemical, Lotte Homeshopping, and Lotte Rental. The PC Polymerization Team of the Advanced Materials Division at Lotte Chemical developed its own catalyst, resolving the supply risk of catalysts that had been dependent on imports. They were also highly evaluated for cost reduction and productivity improvement by designing the production tower in-house. The Marketing Team of Lotte Homeshopping was recognized for successfully leading the Korea Gwangcle Festival event. This shopping event held in October last year was the largest ever by integrating TV and mobile platforms, enhancing customer satisfaction with differentiated prices and benefits. The Brand Part of Lotte Rental’s Green Car was awarded for improving customer convenience by introducing data analysis solutions and enhancing app usability.


The Grand Prize and Excellence Award teams were each awarded prize money of 50 million KRW and 30 million KRW respectively, along with trophies. The award ceremony was held with only the minimum number of attendees necessary for the event and was live-streamed on YouTube so that any Lotte employee could watch it.


Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group, said, “I have watched your journey as you took the first step on a path no one had taken and walked silently,” adding, “You are Lotte’s pride and hope, having created new changes after fiercely challenging yourselves and your colleagues despite fear.”


Meanwhile, on the 22nd, Lotte held the 2021 Lotte HR Forum in a web seminar format. This forum, which started in 2008 to strengthen the group’s HR capabilities, marked its 14th session this year. About 780 Lotte employees, including those in charge of personnel, education, and labor, participated online under the theme of ‘Pivoting HR.’
