Lee Young-pyo, Rematch with 'Robot Goalkeeper' and Air Hockey... Commemorating Quantum2 Launch

[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] SK Telecom announced on the 23rd that it will hold the second season of the "Quantum Keeper" event to make quantum security technology easier and more enjoyable for the general public, coinciding with the official launch of the quantum-secured 5G smartphone, 'Galaxy Quantum2.'

This event is the second match against the robot goalkeeper, which gained attention with 7 million views on YouTube during the launch of the previous model (Galaxy A Quantum). Former national soccer players Lee Young-pyo and Cho Won-hee will switch to air hockey and compete in a penalty shootout against the upgraded robot goalkeeper. The results of the challenge can be viewed from the 25th on Cho's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/channel/UC7JbUmyD7g8JH6LvkkQuSZQ).

Starting mid-May, SK Telecom plans to hold an event for about a month at the ICT multiplex T-Factory located in Hongdae Entrance, Seoul, where customers can compete against the robot air hockey goalkeeper.

The officially launched Galaxy Quantum2 showed a well-distributed reservation rate among men and women in their 20s and 50s during the pre-order period (April 13?19). It is evaluated to have gained support across generations, from middle-aged people with high interest in finance and investment to the MZ generation pursuing reasonable consumption. The Galaxy Quantum2 features flagship-level performance and enhanced quantum cryptography security services compared to its predecessor.

Han Myung-jin, head of SK Telecom's marketing group, stated, "By continuously applying the improved quantum security technology of Quantum2 to service areas such as finance, payment, and authentication, we plan to expand the unique domain of 'security phone = SKT Quantum.'" SK Telecom has set the official subsidy for the Galaxy Quantum2 at 128,000 to 236,000 KRW.
