[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Kim Young-dae, the CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, an affiliate organization of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, has been accused of sexual harassment.
On the 22nd, according to the police and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a complaint was filed at the Gyeonggi Ilsan Western Police Station stating that CEO Kim made inappropriate physical contact with a female victim and that she wishes to seek punishment.
CEO Kim submitted his resignation on the 19th. On the 22nd, the foundation's board of directors approved his resignation. It is known that CEO Kim had not been coming to work since last month, taking annual leave and sick leave, citing health issues.
The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation is a Seoul Metropolitan Government-funded organization that promotes integrated support policies for citizens aged 50 to 64 in Seoul. CEO Kim was appointed in November 2018 during the tenure of former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, and his term was three years, ending in late October.
