[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) announced that it began the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination for seniors aged 75 and older starting from the 22nd.


The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses at a three-week interval, and the first dose, which began on the 1st, reached its third week on this day.


From the 22nd, the district will conduct the second dose for seniors who have completed the first Pfizer vaccine dose as well as the first dose for new recipients. As of the 21st, the vaccination consent rate among seniors aged 75 and older is 81% (21,945 people), showing that many seniors are actively participating in the vaccination.


Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We are doing our best to ensure the smooth progress from the first dose to the second dose,” and added, “Please do not forget and make sure to receive the second dose for the sake of your beloved family and neighbors.”


Meanwhile, to allow seniors to visit the vaccination center with their children, the vaccination center will be expanded to operate on Saturdays. From Monday to Friday, the hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Saturdays, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
