[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The victim of the sexual assault case involving Oh Geo-don criticized Yoon Ho-jung, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman and Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, for leaving an insulting apology message in the guestbook at the National Cemetery.

On the 22nd, victim A of the Oh Geo-don sexual assault case expressed her position on Yoon's apology message in the guestbook through the Busan Sexual Violence Counseling Center.

A said, "I am not a patriotic martyr buried in the National Cemetery, so why are you apologizing to me at the National Cemetery?" She added, "Last month, I requested an apology from Democratic Party officials who caused secondary harm such as covering up the incident, threats, and leaking personal information, as well as party-level measures, to the Democratic Party Central Committee. After several requests, I finally received a reply letter in the name of former Acting Party Leader Kim Tae-nyeon."

She said, "The reply letter stated, 'We will thoroughly investigate the facts that the party has not yet fully confirmed, verify the truth, and take measures to prevent recurrence. After completing the measures, we will inform the victim of the results. We will firmly take action to prevent further secondary damage.'"

She continued, "There has been no news of the measures and results you mentioned, and today, Yoon, the Floor Leader, apologizing at the National Cemetery is extremely insulting." She added, "I do not need a mere verbal apology; please take responsibility for what you have said and stop harassing me."

On the same day, Yoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman, visited the National Cemetery and wrote in the guestbook, "To the patriots! To the people! To the victim! I sincerely apologize. I will heed the public sentiment and take care of the people's livelihood."

Yoon explained to reporters, "I felt that our party had not sincerely apologized to those individuals from the heart. Since their identities could be revealed, it was not appropriate to visit or meet them. I thought the National Cemetery was an appropriate place to offer an apology to them."
