[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, participated in the "Overcome Low Birthrate Together! National Po(4)ham Relay" challenge on the 22nd.

This challenge is a nationwide participatory campaign aimed at actively joining efforts to overcome the national crisis caused by low birthrate by creating a "Korea where we work together, care together, protect together, and are happy together."

Mayor Park said, "Creating an environment that is good for having and raising children is the top priority to overcome the low birthrate," adding, "We will continue to actively discover and implement various policies to make Gwanak-gu a place where parents can raise their children with peace of mind."

Having been nominated by Lee Seung-ok, Mayor of Gangjin-gun, on the 13th, Mayor Park Jun-hee participated in this challenge and nominated Jo In-mook, Mayor of Yanggu-gun, a sister city, and Gil Yong-hwan, Chairman of the Gwanak-gu Council, as the next participants.

Meanwhile, to overcome the low birthrate, Gwanak-gu is actively working to create a child-friendly environment by ▲ significantly doubling the birth congratulatory allowance for babies born from March 1 this year ▲ supporting birth congratulatory allowances through a business agreement with Saemaeul Geumgo ▲ providing free photo vouchers for expectant mothers and 50-day-old babies.
