New Director of the Agency for Defense Development Appointed: 'Missile Expert' Deputy Director Park Jong-seung

[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] Park Jong-seung (60), Deputy Director, has been appointed as the new Director of the Agency for Defense Development (ADD).

Park, the new director, is regarded as an expert in the missile field with extensive knowledge in science and technology, organizational management skills, and leadership.

Park graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

He has served as Director of the Ground Guided Weapon System Office, Head of the Ground Guided Weapon System Division, and Chief of the 1st Technology Research Headquarters, and has been Deputy Director since February.

The Ministry of National Defense stated, "With a trusted figure appointed as the Director of the Agency for Defense Development, we expect ADD to play a leading role in the advancement of defense science."
