[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Credit Information Services announced on the 22nd that it has launched a 'Customized DB' service using the financial big data open system (CreDB).
CreDB is a financial big data platform that opened in June 2019. It provides sampled and pseudonymized sample databases of credit information to financial companies, fintech firms, and academia.
The Customized DB is said to be more efficient than the existing sample DB. It enables linked analysis among personal, corporate, and insurance information, and processes data items and periods customized according to user requests.
In addition, the application procedure and required documents are simplified. The waiting time from application to service use, which used to take about two months, is shortened to within one month.
Shin Hyun-jun, President of Korea Credit Information Services, emphasized, “The Customized DB is the only domestic dataset that can analyze financial consumers' credit transaction patterns in a linked manner,” adding, “It will play an important role in developing new financial services and academic research.”
