Sales in the logistics business based on the IT platform recorded 1.6929 trillion KRW, a 47.2% increase compared to the same period last year, due to increased IT product cargo volume and rising maritime logistics freight rates.

Samsung SDS plans to expand its business in the IT sector focusing on cloud transition, digital maturity diagnosis and consulting, next-generation ERP-based external projects, cloud-based solutions (SaaS), and security for production facilities and manufacturing processes (OT).

In particular, to strengthen its cloud business, Samsung SDS plans to build a high-performance computing (HPC) data center specialized in artificial intelligence (AI), research and development (R&D), and data analysis in the Dongtan area of Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province by next year.

In the logistics sector, the company will expand its business focusing on high-tech and parts industries. It plans to enhance IT platforms such as Cello for integrated logistics and Cello Square for global e-commerce to strengthen global logistics competitiveness.

A Samsung SDS official stated, "We will continuously promote ESG (environmental, social, and governance) activities to fulfill corporate social responsibility and sustainable management."
