559 New COVID-19 Cases by 6 PM... Slight Decrease from Previous Day

According to health authorities on the 21st, from midnight to 6 p.m. nationwide, a total of 559 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported. This is 36 fewer than the same time the previous day (595 cases).

By region, 376 cases (67.3%) were in the Seoul metropolitan area, and 183 cases (32.7%) were in non-metropolitan areas.

By city and province, there were 197 cases in Seoul, 170 in Gyeonggi, 42 in Gyeongnam, 32 in Busan, 21 in Gyeongbuk, 18 in Gangwon, 17 each in Daegu and Ulsan, 11 in Chungbuk, 9 in Incheon, 8 in Gwangju, 5 each in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, 4 in Chungnam, and 3 in Daejeon.

Considering that the data compilation closes at midnight, the number of new confirmed cases is expected to increase to around 700.

Meanwhile, from the 15th of this month to today, the daily new confirmed cases over the past week have been 698 → 673 → 658 → 671 → 532 → 549 → 731.
