Yeosu City Offers Agricultural Machinery Rentals Even on Holidays During Spring Farming Season

From April 24 to May 30... 50% Rent Reduction Program

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) is operating the agricultural machinery rental service even on holidays as the demand for agricultural machinery rental increases with the arrival of the busy farming season.

According to the city on the 21st, agricultural machinery can be rented on holidays from April 24 to May 30, and rental fees are being reduced by 50% until June to alleviate the management burden on farmers due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

Rental machinery can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and returned from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Large agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, skid loaders) are transported free of charge, and simple training on machinery operation and safety rules is provided when renting the machinery.

Farmers who need to rent agricultural machinery can visit the Yeosu Agricultural Technology Center (Agricultural Machinery Rental Office) in advance or make a reservation by phone. A city official said, "We will actively support timely farming through holiday work at the agricultural machinery rental office and do our best to prevent safety accidents through safety education on agricultural machinery."

Meanwhile, the Yeosu Agricultural Machinery Rental Office operates 140 rental agricultural machines of 79 different models.
