Jeongeup-si Publishes Urban Regeneration Newsletter 'Jeongeup Ribbon'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 21st that it has published a newsletter containing information on urban regeneration called ‘Jeongeup RibbonːReborn’ (hereinafter Jeongeup Ribbon).

‘Jeongeup Ribbon’ embodies the hope that Jeongeup City will be reborn through urban regeneration and become a bustling street full of people once again.

It was published with the purpose of providing a comprehensive view of the changes and effects of urban regeneration by including various stories from residents related to urban regeneration and information about projects.

The newsletter is produced as a 16-page booklet in size 16mo and will be published quarterly, totaling four issues per year.

The main distribution points include urban regeneration-related institutions and organizations within the region, as well as urban regeneration support centers nationwide.

The spring issue, published this time, contains detailed explanations of urban regeneration projects to help understanding, introductions to this year’s projects, and introductions to urban regeneration resident councils.

In particular, it includes the process of reflecting residents’ opinions in the urban regeneration activation plan, various resident contest projects, and the changed appearance of the region through urban regeneration projects.

The city plans to deliver the progress of urban regeneration projects and information about the urban regeneration projects promoted by the city to residents in an easy and friendly manner through ‘Jeongeup Ribbon’.

Mayor Yoo Jin-seop said, “The passion of citizens shown through the urban regeneration university and practical projects is a great driving force for urban regeneration,” adding, “We will make it an active communication channel that actively communicates with citizens by sharing vivid information and stories from the field.”
