LG Whisen System Air Conditioner, AI+ Quality Certification Acquired... "Industry First"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] LG Electronics announced on the 21st that its Whisen system air conditioner has become the first in the industry to receive the 'AI+ (AI Plus) Certification.'

LG Electronics recently received the AI+ certification from the Korea Standards Association for its representative Whisen system air conditioner product, 'Multi V,' marking the first domestic system air conditioner to earn this certification. The Korea Standards Association grants the AI+ certification based on international standards for software quality (ISO/IEC 25023 and 25051) and quality management systems (ISO 9001), verifying the quality aspects such as reliability and safety of products and services incorporating AI technology.

The LG Whisen Multi V system air conditioner features an AI technology-based 'contextual memory control' function that manages indoor air tailored to the space by utilizing situational information such as temperature, humidity, and the number of occupants in multiple areas. The wired remote control attached to the wall displays energy consumption and energy savings in numerical values.

LG Electronics plans to launch a new system air conditioner model equipped with this AI technology within the first half of the year. Additionally, they will release an AI module called 'LG AI Engine' that can be installed on existing Whisen Multi V system air conditioners to upgrade the software, enabling the use of AI functions identical to the new product.

LG Electronics also announced that its home-use stand air conditioners, including the LG Whisen Tower introduced for the first time this year, have received the AI+ certification. Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Air Solution Business Division, stated, "Through the advanced AI technology of LG Whisen air conditioners certified for quality, we will make customers' lives more convenient with smart airflow."
