Gangnam-gu Selected for ‘SAC ON SCREEN’ Project... Theater and Musical on 9m×3m Large Media Wall
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will showcase 18 performances on the stage of the Seoul Arts Center through the large media wall at the Gangnam Healing Center in COEX, Samseong-dong, starting with the play "Treasure Island" on the 23rd, continuing until the end of the year.
The district planned this relay performance after being selected for the 2021 "Seoul Arts Center Video Project SAC ON SCREEN" contest. This project provides high-definition 4K videos of plays, ballets, musicals, and more that have graced the Seoul Arts Center stage since 2013.
The performances will be screened on a high-resolution large media wall measuring 9.1m wide and 3.4m high on one wall of the Gangnam Healing Center. On the 24th, viewers can watch the musical "The Man Who Laughs," and from May, regular screenings will be held at 3 PM on the second Friday and Saturday of each month.
Admission is free. To comply with social distancing and quarantine guidelines, only 15 pre-registered attendees can enter. Reservations can be made at the Gangnam Healing Center.
Meanwhile, last year, the district presented various programs such as the "Yeongdong-daero K-POP Concert," "Meditation Healing Concert," and "365 Days FUN&PAN Gangnam Balcony Concert" through non-face-to-face performance methods.
Gong Seung-ho, head of the New Design Division, said, "We hope that through these performances, residents can relieve some of their daily stress," adding, "As an 'Ontact' leader, we will continue to focus on creating new cultural events that everyone can safely enjoy."
